We've been rafting on the Hozugawa River in Kyoto for nearly 30 years.
As a local company, our guides know this river better than anyone.
We are a certified member of RAJ (Rafting Association of Japan),
Japan’s largest and most trusted rafting organization.
We follow strict safety standards, using trained staff, professional equipment, and insurance coverage for all participants.
We are also officially certified by the system.

After the adventure, unwind with your group in a private countryside home—your second Kyoto, surrounded by nature.
After your Hozugawa rafting experience, retreat to the calm of the countryside.
goodRAC stay KYOTO KAMEOKA is a fully private, traditional-style home located about 10 minutes by car from the river area.
Surrounded by peaceful rice fields and mountains, it’s the perfect base for families or groups seeking a quiet and authentic stay in rural Kyoto.
The house can accommodate up to 14 guests, and includes tatami rooms, a kitchen, bath, and garden.
At around ¥10,000 per person (when fully booked), it offers both space and great value.
京都ラフティング（Kyoto Rafting）
The following 6 items are included:
Everything you need is provided on site.
Optional items such as rash guards, swimwear, goggle straps, and water goggles are also available for purchase at the location.
On hot days, you are also welcome to join in your own comfortable style—such as a T-shirt, shorts, or sports sandals—if you prefer.
Wetsuit
Japan’s summer is hot—perfect for rafting!
You won’t need a wetsuit. Just wear light clothes that can get wet.
In spring and autumn, you’ll need to wear a wetsuit.
If you don’t have innerwear or swimwear for under the wetsuit,
we recommend choosing the all-inclusive plan—everything is provided.
River Shoes
River shoes are included at no extra cost in the all-inclusive plan.
For the simple plan, they can be rented on-site for ¥400.
If you prefer, you may also bring your own sports sandals.
We offer two flexible plans so you can enjoy rafting even if you didn’t bring any gear with you on your trip to Japan.
Whether you come fully prepared or empty-handed, we’ve got you covered.
Disposable Innerwear
A clean, disposable inner layer and rental towel are included free of charge in the all-inclusive plan.
For the simple plan, they can be purchased on-site for ¥700.
Other optional items such as swimwear, rash guards, and surf shorts are also available for purchase at our shop.
Everything you might need for rafting can be found on-site.
Insurance
Accident insurance is included in all plans.
Valid only during your stay in Japan. Covers injury, hospitalization, death, or permanent disability.
Please note: medical treatment costs are not included.
Life Jacket
Certified for whitewater use under RAJ (Rafting Association of Japan) safety standards.
All participants are required to wear a life jacket and helmet provided by us for flotation and protection.
Tour Photos – Free Download
Action shots taken during the tour are available for download at no extra cost.
Our staff will take photos throughout the experience.
You’ll receive a special QR code and instructions after the tour to access them online.
